If you're looking for a skewer place this is the spot. Skewers are super cheap 60c each plus you can also order additional items from their menu. Get the spicy broth along with the pork bone. The spicy broth definitely has a kick if you are a fan of spicy food. Definitely goes well with the skewers plus an ice cool beer ! The restaurant is spacious with enough tables; there are a lot of different variety to choose from. They also give you a bag to put your jacket so it doesn't smell and an apron so your clothes don't get dirty. The service is top notch no complains there ! Will definitely be back! My go to hotpot spot for the cold winter weather !

This place is just hotpot on skewers. It's something new to try. Their service is great. The food is all good. I'll say some of the things in the menu is SPICY. The place is nicely decorate. Honestly their seating situation isn't that comfortable. Their food is definitely on the pricier end but it's good.

Loved this place!!! It is an older building in flushing that sits on a corner. The waitress was super nice and asked my wife if she wanted a hair tie so her hair wouldn't get wet. They also give you aprons to wear so your clothes don't get stained. All the food was delicious and I love how you can get two broths and you cook your own food. Really delicious and the spicy flavors add a nice kick.

Me and my friends went to Spicy Palace on a Saturday Night and it was very busy. We were put on a waitlist but the waiters tried to get us in as quickly as possible. I love the outside and the interior design as it felt cozy and not too packed with the separated tables. Once seated, the waiter gave us all free hair ties and was very attentive in giving us more water and broth! We picked two soup bases: the mild beef broth and the pork bone. The mild is the perfect amount of spice as it wasn't too spicy. We got up to pick our skewers for 60 cents each and created our sauces at the sauce bar. We also ordered a plate of wagyu beef and beef slices. The meats were both delicious and tasted fresh! We ended up eating a total of 90 sticks but the price was affordable than most hotpot places I've been to. I definitely see why this place gets busy and will be coming back again!

first time trying @spicypalace_nyc and it was so good all the skewers were 60 cents each, soup base is ~$20 and you can order al la carte items. I had a variety of veggies, beefs, pork and fish cakes within the skewers. my fav from the skewer was definitely the cilantro beef and thin pork. the thick jumbo beef was just too tuff for my liking. the Japanese thin wagyu for $14.99 was AMAZING. It just melted in your mouth and it wasn't too fatty. I would prob get less of the meat skewers and order more of just the wagyu beef. overall it was a fun experience and I left stuffed. the spicy beef tongue was SPICY so be prepared

Doesn't look like much on the outside, but the atmosphere on the inside was quirky and fun. Throw in a DIY hot pot and you have a great dining experience that is casual and relaxed. I really want to emphasize how down to earth this place felt - it brought me right back to the days I lived in Beijing in the early 2010s. It's fun going up to the refrigerators to pick everything you want to cook, and on top of that not worrying about price because each skewer is charged the same. We had the duck & pickle broth along with medium spicy which was very good - just spicy enough for us but for those who can only handle a little bit of spice you probably want mild. Service was very efficient and friendly. Our drinks were always filled, and the items we ordered from the menu were quickly brought to the table. Overall I had a great time here. I'm not sure why the reviews are so mixed, maybe people aren't sure what to expect. This isn't a fancy restaurant and doesn't want to be. The mom with her young child at the next table who kept getting excited to go pick new items was heartwarming, and showed exactly the just familia, homelike atmosphere one gets here.

Came here for lunch on a cold winter Sunday, nothing better than a spicy hotpot in a cold day. This place is traditional skewer style hotpot, each stick is 60cents very affordable. The decor throughout brings you to the old town beijing vibe. We had the half half, with their traditional spicy pot on a half and pickled radish duck pot on the other side in case some of them we don't want to be spicy. I consider myself can take a good hit and ordered the medium spicy I think it's perfect for me. It's spicy enough not to ruin the flavor but still get you some numb and spicy tickle on your lips. A lot of the skewers already marinated in spicy so when you cook in the broth adding extra flavor. There are fridges of different skewers you can pick whatever you want, they just come back and count the sticks in the end. Some of the small dishes you need to order from the menu such as the sliced beef or lamb. And some cooked appetizers. The staffs are all very friendly. It was our first time so they introduced how everything works and recommend some popular broth base. And they came back frequently to refill our water, refill broth and change our dirty plates.

First time here for dinner and it was a wonderful experience. Once seated, you pick your broth. I had the pork bone broth and the classic spicy (medium). It was like a buffet set up where you go up and grab the skewers you want from the refrigerator. Each skewer is 0.60 cents. Some food have 2 skewers. If you want sauce it's $1.99/person. You honestly don't need sauce cause the broths are flavorful. You can also order plates of thin sliced meat and veggies. The type of veggies were limited. I think the food was good and I would come back again. I like the food were in skewers, making it easier to grab the food. It's an overall great experience. The atmosphere was nice, when you are inside it feels like you are sitting in a town in China.
